The House
Recently decorated, the impressive Dining Room is where breakfast and dinner (by prior arrangement) are served. Here, the Edwardian theme is continued with an original carved Art Nouveau sideboard and cast iron fireplace inset to an oak mantlepiece. The mahogany dining table and chairs are complemented by the block wood floor. The room contains numerous antiques some of which featured on the BBC Antiques Roadshow in 2006.

Maes-y-Derw’s front door is a statement in period design and workmanship that sets the the standard for the rest of the house. Once inside, you are greeted by a a grand pitch-pine staircase, blockwood flooring and an air of grandeur that is complimented by a warm welcome from Katherine, your host.

Throughout your stay you have access to the Guest Lounge where you can relax, read a book and entertain friends.

The Lounge is also used for pre and post dinner drinks. The room boasts an impressive oak fireplace, a stunning burr walnut gramophone and numerous other antiques including some of Carl’s collection of Campaign (military) furniture.
